The dual-SIM version of the smartphone gets it first

Good news for LG fans, as one of its mid-range smartphones, the L90, is now getting the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

This is kind of surprising as LG usually skips its mid-range smartphones from receiving major Android updates. The South Korean company confirmed it would offer Lollipop to most of its high-end smartphones, including LG G Flex and LG G3.

Some of them already got it, but we didn't expect LG L90 to get it as well. According to GSMArena, the dual-SIM version of LG L90 is now getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India.

However, the update will be slowly rolled out worldwide and it will be available for the single SIM version of the smartphone as well.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for LG L90 is rolled out OTA (over the air) in staged and it's about 780MB in size. Unfortunately, not many details are offered when it comes to changelog, but we at least get confirmation that this is indeed an “Android OS Upgrade.”

Since the L90 is one of the first mid-range smartphone to receive Lollipop, we're not sure if we should expect the update to be released for other handsets in the same spec range in the near future. Stay tuned for more info on the matter though.
