LG announced the new L Series III of mid-range smartphones one week ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014. The first three devices in the family will be launched in Q1 through various carriers around the world.

LG L40, L70, and L90 have similar specs sheets with slight differences when it comes to display, camera, and software. The better-featured of the three, LG L90, has been confirmed to arrive in the United States via T-Mobile.

Although the carrier has yet to announce that it will add the LG L90 to its portfolio, @evleaks published the first press photo of the smartphone branded with T-Mobile’s logo.

No additional details on availability and price tag have been revealed, but we suspect that the LG L90 will arrive at T-Mobile by the end of Q1 2014.

The smartphone will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, which is one of its strong points, given the fact that it’s a mid-range handset.

The L90 is armed with a more than decent quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Another highlight of the mid-range handset would be the large 4.7-inch IPS LCD display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.
