The South Korean media has already started to leak information on LG’s next flagship smartphone, the G3, which has yet to be announced.

The first details that have emerged online claim that LG G3 will be dust and waterproof, which makes sense if the South Korean company wants to stay in the game. Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Galaxy S5 also have similar traits, and HTC’s upcoming flagship smartphone is expected to include it as well.

Well, the next info on the LG G3 comes via @evleaks and indicates that the smartphone might be packed with a 2K display that will support 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.

An unannounced LG D850 has recently been spotted in UAProf (User Agent Profile) and the device is listed with the said resolution support.

Some might say that this would be the upcoming Nexus 6 device, but if LG plans to launch a smartphone with 2K display, it will certainly launch its own model as well.

There’s no telling when exactly the LG will announce the G3, but as more rumors start piling up, the South Korean handset maker will be forced to come forward with some teasers eventually.

Previous rumors point to a possible launch in May/June, so we can only hope that LG will announce the G3 sooner rather than later.
