Good news for LG G2 owners, as the South Korean company has just confirmed that the smartphone will get the highly anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade sometime this month.

The information has been recently announced by LG Korea and states that the G2 will receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update by the end of the year.

The bad news is that the update will only be available on the domestic market, which means that only LG G2 owners in South Korea will be able to upgrade their smartphones to Android 4.4 KitKat.

LG has also stated that more details on the KitKat update availability for the G2 in other markets will be announced at a later date.

This somewhat comes in line with the information confirmed by LG Canada last month that all major carriers in the country would receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update by the end of Q1 2014. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
