LG G2 has already received the Android 4.4 KitKat update, but only those living in South Korea got the upgrade. However, the handset maker has promised that it will offer the update in other countries as well, sometime in Q1 2014.

Well, it looks like one of the first countries to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade will be Saudi Arabia. GSMArena reports that LG has just confirmed that the G2 will get the update in this country by the end of the month.

Although there's no word on when exactly it will reach other countries, we're confident that LG G2 owners in other regions will start receiving the update in the next couple of weeks.

However, it's unlikely that LG will manage to finish rolling out the KitKat update for the G2 by the time the G3 is announced, so it will be interesting to see how many G2 owners will switch to the new device.
