The world’s second curved smartphone and first to be available for the general public, LG G Flex is getting a sequel, sources familiar with LG’s roadmap for 2015 report.

According to @evleaks, the G Flex 2 will be launched on the market in mid-Q1 2015 with another unique feature packed inside.

For those unfamiliar with the original G Flex’s specs sheet, the curved smartphone integrates a unique technology that allows the back cover to self-heal after being scratched.

Well, it appears that the next G Flex smartphone will come with another awesome feature “more unique than self-healing plastic.”

It’s definitely too early to talk about the LG G Flex 2’s specs sheet considering that we still have about one year left until its alleged release on the market.

However, we expect LG to further improve its plastic OLED flexible display to offer a much better visual quality. On the inside, the G Flex 2 is likely to pack the latest chipset offered by Qualcomm.

Obviously, the smartphone will be powered by a flexible battery, which is an in-house solution developed by LG. We will keep an eye out for more details on the LG G Flex 2, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter. Don't forget to check out our LG G Flex review.
