South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is set to sell no less than 10 million units of its LG G2 flagship handset, the company confirmed today.

At the official launch of the mobile phone in Taiwan, the head of LG’s local branch confirmed plans to top 10 million global sales for the device, UnwiredView reports.

Furthermore, LG is set to sell at least 20,000 G2 units in Taiwan. The company also plans on reaching a market share of 5 percent in the smartphone area, and one of 10 percent in the high-end segment.

Made official back in August, LG G2 is a highly appealing smartphone, both courtesy of its hardware specs and due to an innovative design, with the volume and power buttons placed on the back.

With competitors such as Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Xperia Z1, and others, G2 will have a long way to walk until it manages to top those 10 million sold units, that’s for sure.
