Windows Phone fans who like to read on their smartphones will be pleased to know that the official Kobo Reader application has just been released on Windows Phone Store.

The application is available for download on Windows Phone devices, but you can use it on your Windows PC as well. Dubbed Kobo Books, the application allows users to pick up their reading from where they left off.

According to the developer, Kobo Books can sync bookmarks, so users can keep reading across all their devices. Another interesting feature offered by the mobile reader is called Night Mode, which enables users to read in low-light environments much easier.

But this is not all. Kobo Books provides Windows Phone users access to more than 4 million titles via Kobo store, including new releases, classics, comics and more.

Although most of these titles are not available for free, users will be able to enjoy first chapter previews for a huge number of select books and save them in their library.

You can now download Kobo Books for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The new application is fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up (including Windows Phone 8.1).
