Windows Phone 8.1, the upcoming major update for Microsoft’s mobile operating system, is currently rumored to arrive on devices with a series of changes to the Kids Corner as well, resolving some of the issues it was found to pack in Windows Phone 8.

One of them is related to the password protection of the handset, as the Kids Corner is accessible even when the phone is locked, a thread on Reddit unveils.

Previously, users needed to enter the password for the main account in order to receive access to the feature, but the issue has been resolved now.

As WMPoweruser notes, in the event that the handset was not password-protected, children could receive full access to the device through simply turning it off and on again.

Windows Phone 8.1 will arrive with a host of other enhancements as well, as discovered in the past several days, after Microsoft released the SDK for it to some developers.
