The handset runs under Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Mobile phone users in India can now purchase a new Android-based smartphone in Karbonn’s Duple Series, namely the A27 Retina, which features a price tag of Rs. 9,090 ($166 / €128).

The handset lands on shelves with a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display, while also featuring a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor inside, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

Furthermore, the device comes to the market with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage.

The phone’s specs list also includes a 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, an 1800 mAh battery, support for 3G networks, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Karbonn A27 Retina is priced at Rs. 11,990, fonearena notes, but it can be seen at the aforementioned reduced price on this page at online retailer Saholic.
