Sprint has just announced that it has started the rollout of the highly anticipated Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Victory.

According to Sprint, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, which means that not all Galaxy Victory owners might receive it at the same time.

Aside from the usual Google Now, Android Beam and expanded notification system, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean brings new capabilities to Galaxy Victory.

Among these new features added via this major update, Sprint lists the following: Swype, conversational text-to-speech voice in U.S. English, voice typing without an Internet connection, manage/create Google+ Events from device, Zagat ratings and reviews built into Google Maps and indoor walking directions integrated into Google Maps.

Those who have yet to be notified on the update can manually check for its availability by going to Settings / About device / Software update / Check now.
