It looks like AT&T and Samsung have started the rollout of the long-awaited Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

According to SamMobile, the update is now pushed OTA (over-the-air), but Galaxy S II Skyrocket owners can also download and install it via Samsung Kies desktop software.

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean brings lots of new features and improvements, including a new Google Search experience, Google Now, better camera features, enhanced notifications system, and a brand new UI.

The Galaxy S II Skyrocket will also receive new features such as Smart Stay, Pop-up Play, Direct call, and Samsung S Cloud services.

AT&T has yet to confirm the availability of the update, but we expect the carrier to make it official in the next couple of hours.
