Mobile phone maker Intex is gearing up for the launch of new smartphones in India, and it might make its previously rumored Intex Aqua Glow handset official in the near future, as the device has already been spotted on the company’s website.

The smartphone will arrive on shelves in two color flavors, namely White and Black, while packing entry-level hardware specification, it seems.

The smartphone was spotted with a 1GHz processor inside, a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 pixels) touchscreen display, and 256 MB of RAM.

As fonearena notes, the handset also features a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, 1.3MP front camera, a 1500 mAh battery inside, and Google’s Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread platform loaded on top.

Featuring support for 2G (EDGE) connectivity, the smartphone also packs dual-SIM capabilities, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, micro USB, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage. No info on when it might be launched has been provided.
