The application lacks video support for the moment

As expected, the official Instagram application for Windows Phone devices has just arrived and is now available for download.

This is the good news. The bad news is that the application lacks video support for the moment, though developers promise that they will continue to improve Instagram for Windows Phone.

Aside from the video upload functionality, which is not featured in this version, Instagram for Windows Phone comes with lots of features included in the Android and iOS iterations.

Even though the video support is not yet available, Instagram for Windows Phone allows users to upload photos without any issues, just not the way it is done in Android and iOS applications.

It is also worth mentioning that users will not be able to tag people in photos or view maps for photos that have been geotagged.

You can now download Instagram for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application is fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up.
