One of India’s major carriers, Reliance Communications has just released the country’s first CDMA tablet. Simply dubbed Reliance CDMA Tab, the slate is now available for purchase for Rs 12,999 (260 USD or 200 EUR).

The folks at NDTV Gadgets have also learned that the table comes with 15 popular entertainment, social networking and communications apps.

In addition, Reliance CDMA Tab is Google-certified, which means it provides access to more than 400,000 apps via Google Play.

Unfortunately, the tablet is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and packs only 512MB of RAM. It also sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 2-megapixel rear photo snapper, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion.

It is also worth mentioning Reliance Communications is bundling a choice of data plans with the tablet, starting from 1GB of mobile data and up to 5GB.
