A leaked system file shows an FaceLock.apk in the new OS flavor

Next month, Google is expected to unveil to the world the next flavor of their Android operating system, called Ice Cream Sandwich, and some more specifics on what the OS will include have emerged.

Among them, we can note facial recognition capabilities, which should prove a great option for users who like video calling, for example.

Starting at 2:45 in the video above, you will see a small demonstration of the new feature, which was shot back in June.

Ice Cream Sandwich devices will be able to focus the camera on a speaker when more people are standing in front of it.

A recent leak shows that there will be a FaceLock.apk included in the new OS, which confirms that the new feature will make it in Ice Cream Sandwich, putting the front-facer on devices to good use.
