Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is getting ready for the launch of Ascend P6, an Android smartphone said to be one of the slimmest such devices on the market.

The handset is set to be officially launched on June 18, a video teaser from the company unveils, and should be only 6.2mm thin, provided that the previous rumors on it pan out. The phone is also said to pack high-end hardware inside.

The handset is expected to provide users with a great experience while on the go, at least this is what Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei Device, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, says on Facebook.

“You know, after using the P6 more and more, I've begun to notice how nice the side keys were designed and how good it felt to press them. Their positioning along the edge felt just right and natural,” he claims.

“They aren't protruding out too much so you don't have to worry about the wrong button being pushed when it's in your pocket, nor are they too flat that they're uncomfortable to feel.”
