Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is getting ready for the launch of a new Windows Phone 8-based smartphone, supposedly called Ascend W2, and it seems that the company has already teased the device online, on the Huawei Italy Facebook page.

The company did not say what handset was shown in the aforementioned photo, but its interface suggests that would be a Windows Phone 8 device, supposedly the aforementioned Ascend W2.

Rumor has it that the device will arrive on shelves with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash.

As GizChina notes, the handset is also set to feature 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 7.7mm thick body. Rumor has it that it would be set to become official next week, alongside Ascend P6.
