Chinese handset maker Huawei is about to launch the Ascend Y300 in India. The smartphone is now available for pre-order for only Rs 7,980 outright, which is about $145 or €115.

For the time being, Flipkart is the only Indian retailer that takes pre-orders for Huawei Ascend Y300, but others may soon follow. Check it out here.

The Ascend Y300 will start shipping sometime this week with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

The smartphone is equipped with a 1GHz dual-core processor, an Adreno 203 graphics processing unit, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Huawei Ascend Y300 sports a 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as dual cameras (5-megapixel rear photo snapper and VGA front-facing camera).
