Users in the UK interested in the purchase of the Huawei Ascend W2 smartphone can now grab it for only £119.95 ($194/€143), much less than the price tag at which it was launched.

The mobile phone has seen a £80 ($129/€95) price cut over at iBood.co.uk, which makes the newly launched Windows Phone 8 smartphone a highly appealing device, as WMPoweruser notes.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with a 4.3-inch screen that can deliver an 800 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as with a 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor inside.

At the same time, it sports 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with 720p video recording capabilities.

The specs list of the new device also includes a 1700 mAh battery that should be able to deliver up to 16 days of standby time.
