Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is preparing a slim Android-based smartphone for release in the not too distant future, and has already confirmed its upcoming availability, it seems.

Dubbed Huawei Ascend P6, the smartphone is expected to prove very thin, featuring a 6.2mm thick body, yet an official confirmation on the matter has yet to emerge.

One thing that is certain, however, is that the phone exists, given that Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu himself has already talked about it, as GSMInsider reports.

Furthermore, he also confirmed that the smartphone will be priced around the $500 mark, stating that the suggested cost for the device will be of between 3,000 Yuan ($490 / €378) and RMB $3,500 ($570 / €440).

Huawei Ascend P6 is expected to become official on June 18, so stay tuned for additional info on it.
