Our obsession with selfies has escalated to the point that entire books containing exclusively proofs of self-love are being published and people are actually buying them. Yes, we’re making a reference to Kim Kardashian’s ridiculous “Selfish” book.

What is the next level of selfie-addiction? Getting a selfie-stick so you can get that perfect portrait of yourself by yourself from a distance.

Just place the smartphone at the end of the stick and hold it in front of you (the display will peer at you from above) and don’t forget to smile in the meanwhile.

But if you’re still trying to decide whether it is a good idea to take some money out of your budget and invest in a selfie stick, the folks of Oatmeal jump to your rescue (the Noot Selfie Stick costs 20 bucks on Amazon).

Matthew Inman has come up with a super-funny guide that will hopefully aid you in making an “informed” decision.

It’s not a very long one, mind you, but the selfie stick is not a complicated piece of gadgetry in itself, so you probably understand why.

Still, this handy guide for shopper is super amusing, so check it out before you hit Amazon.
