Io Interactive has just announced that the first major update for its popular Hitman GO for mobile devices is now available for download to iOS users.

The new update is called “Airport” and brings new levels, a new mode, and lots of new features and improvements that should enhance gameplay experience even further.

According to developer Io, the latest update adds “an entirely new box of levels with two new targets, new guard types and gameplay features.”

There are no less than 15 new diorama-style missions set in an airport, hence the name of this major update. Also, the developers added a “Civilian mode,” which is supposed to make it possible for players to avoid detection but only until they make their first kill.

Players will now be able to skip a turn and wait silently to make their move on approaching enemies. Moreover, the newly-added “high alert” guards can watch two lines at the same time. The update should also make automated walkways take players directly to extended locations.

You can now download Hitman GO for iOS 1.6 for $4.99 (€3.66) via App Store. The game should be fully compatible with all iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPad, and iPod touch devices powered by iOS 6 or later.

Keep in mind that the update is only available for iOS devices, but developers promised that “Airport” would arrive on Android in a week or two.
