14 DAY TRIAL // Google has just released a major update for Hangouts application for Android devices. Aside from bringing the application to version 1.2, the update contains lots of new features and improvements.
First of all, users will now be able to see who is online on Hangouts thanks to the newly added green icons. The grey icons now show who is offline on Hangouts.
Another improvement added by developers concerns Contacts, which are now organized by People that users hang out with, Suggested People, as well as Other Contacts.
With the latest version of Hangouts, users can long press contacts in the New Hangout screen to hide them. Furthermore, invites have been placed above conversations, so they're easier to find. Last but not least, Hangouts now features pinch-to-zoom photos.
You can now download Hangouts 1.2 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3 and up.
