Good news for HTC fans who prefer Windows Phone over Android, as the Taiwanese handset maker is likely to launch another flagship smartphone powered by Microsoft’s platform, the W8.

The smartphone has recently been tipped by @evleaks, who claims that the HTC W8 will be introduced in the United States in Q3. The device may or may not be exclusive to Verizon Wireless, at least for a certain period.

Still, we can safely assume that the HTC W8 will be launched internationally, though it might come with different specs in comparison with the US version.

Speaking of which, there are no details on the HTC W8 specs sheet, but according to @evleaks, we should expect the Taiwanese company to integrate some of the technologies now included in its Android smartphones, such as BoomSound and Duo cameras.

Furthermore, we also know that the HTC W8 will be powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and based on the A9 mid-range Android smartphone, which is said to be in the works now.

These are all the details available on the HTC W8 handset for the moment, but we expect more info to emerge in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for updates on the matter.
