Following the release of Windows Phone 8X and 8S smartphones, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC might plan the release of a third smartphone powered by Microsoft’s latest mobile OS flavor, namely the Titan III.

The handset has just emerged in Xbox Live, and rumor has it that it could be the very same codenamed Zenith that made the rounds on the web a few months back.

The mobile phone is expected to land on shelves with a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a quad-core processor inside, and with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

If real, Titan III would become the new Windows Phone 8 flagship from HTC, while also being capable of dethroning Nokia’s Lumia 920 from its current leading position among the latest Windows Phone-powered devices.

However, there’s no official confirmation on the handset’s arrival for the time being, but stay tuned for more on it. Update: A Microsoft spokesperson contacted Softpedia to inform us that the appearance of Titan III in Xbox Live was merely a typo, which has been corrected in the meantime.
