HTC TITAN, the large Windows Phone handset that HTC made official in early September during the IFA 2011 show in Berlin, is now available for purchase in the UK.

Put up for sale via various retailers, the handset features a price tag of £498 Including Value Added Tax (VAT), SIM free at Clove UK (around $767 / 581 Euros).

Undoubtedly, this seems a lot for a Windows Phone device, even if it packs a large 4.7'' screen and a fast 1.5GHz application processor. After all, there are even more powerful handsets that can be purchased at lower price tags.

However, it is only one of the first devices to arrive with the new Windows Phone Mango OS on board, and other phones might prove to be more affordable, yet capable of increased performance capabilities.
