Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has been through a long series of rough quarters lately, but it seems that the company is finally returning to profitability with the release of HTC One M8 earlier this year.

The latest flagship smartphone from the leading vendor has been received very well all around the world since its official release back in March, yet it won’t be able to save the company on its way, since it is a high-end smartphone, meaning that many users won’t afford it.

However, it seems that the mobile phone maker hasn’t forgotten about users on a budget either, and that it does plan on launching new devices aimed specifically at them.

A recent tweet coming from infamous tipster @evleaks suggests that HTC is currently working on two new entry-level handsets in the Desire series, and that they feature the codenames A1 and V2.

No further details on these two phones have been provided as of now, and there’s no telling whether the phones are real for the time being, though the rumor has all the chances to pan out, considering the track record of the tipster.

Hopefully, it won’t be too long before some more info on these devices emerges online, so stay tuned to learn the news.
