Canadian mobile phone users will soon be able to purchase a new Android-based smartphone in the country, namely the HTC Raider, which was just made official

for two wireless carriers in Canada, namely Bell and Rogers.

The smartphone can already be seen listed on these wireless carriers' websites, here and here, respectively, though no specific info on when they might become available for purchase emerged for the time being.

However, we do have confirmation on the fact that Rogers will have the new device available for $150 with the signing of a three year contract agreement, which sounds like a great deal for a LTE-capable smartphone.

Bell did not offer details on the handset's pricing as of now, though the wireless carrier will also have it delivering fast LTE connectivity to its customers.

Running under Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the handset sports a large 4.3-inch screen, a dual-core 1.2GHz application processor, and 8MP camera on the back, and 16GB of internal memory.
