It appears that HTC One S owners in Europe have started to receive a new software update for their devices.

The Verge reports that several One S owners living in the Netherlands and Germany have already received an Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update which brings several important improvements.

Firstly, the software update will bump the HTC Sense UI to version 4.1, which is the latest iteration of HTC’s users interface.

In addition, the update includes lots of bug fixes and some new features, such as the EA Gamebox gaming hub. There’s also a new diagnostics tool, which is described by HTC as “a remote control unit repair by HTC.”

The update is currently pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all HTC One S owners will receive it at once.
