Good news for HTC One owners in Asia, as the Taiwanese handset maker has just kicked off the rollout of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in the region.

Famous leaker @LlabTooFeR has just confirmed the information along with the builds that should be available for download in various Asian markets: 4.20.708.10, 4.20.707.7 (M7_U) and 4.20.707.6 (M7_UL).

Given that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, it will take some time to reach all HTC One units in the region, so make sure you manually check for it from time to time by going to Settings / About phone / Software update / Update.

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update brings several major new features and improvements, such as new Gallery app, camera low light enhancements, BlinkFeed, improved Highlights and more.

[UPDATE]: The update is now available in India and the Philippines.

[UPDATE1]: Android 4.4.2 KitKat for HTC One has now reached users in Malaysia.
