HTC has recently introduced its flagship smartphone in India and has confirmed that the device will be available for purchase by the end of April.

However, the folks over at AndroidOS report that HTC One might have been delayed for early May. The smartphone has yet to go on sale at Indian retailers and at least one of them mentions that it won’t be able to bring it to its customers until May 7.

According to Saholic, HTC One will be available for purchase beginning next week for no less than Rs 42,900 ($790/€605) outright.

Even though things are looking rather grim for HTC fans anxious to grab the company flagship smartphone, there might be a chance that one of India’s major retailers would be able to secure an HTC One shipment before the end of the month. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
