Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has been long rumored to plan the launch of a new flagship Android-based handset in the not too distant future, a successor for the HTC One, and it seems that a mini flavor of the device will also be released.

The upcoming flagship smartphone, long said to be known internally as HTC M8, is said to sport model number 0P6B. It is expected to arrive either as HTC One 2 or as HTC One+.

According to a recent tweet coming from @evleaks, HTC will launch the phone with model number 0P8B attached to it, and it should be released as the smaller flavor of the HTC One sequel, though specific info on its name has yet to be offered.

The same as with HTC One and HTC One mini, the two yet unannounced phones should sport similar software capabilities, though different hardware inside.
