This might be the previously rumored HTC One M8 mini

Rumors about an alleged HTC One M8 mini emerged back in late March when an UK retailer revealed that it would offer the smartphone sometime in May.

Today, the first image of the One M8 mini popped up online via @evleaks, but the weird thing is that the smartphone is now called HTC M8 Ace.

The “Ace” trademark is used by Samsung for some of its affordable Android smartphones, of which one has just been announced today, the Galaxy ACE Style.

There’s no telling if this is the same device as the HTC One M8 mini that leaked last month or an entirely different smartphone that will soon be introduced by the Taiwanese company.

It’s unclear if HTC M8 Ace is the internal name of the device or the name with which the smartphone will be launched on the market.

No details on the phone’s specs have been revealed yet, but if this is the One M8 mini, it should sport a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports either HD (720p) or full HD (1080p) resolution.

Another information leaked last month about the HTC One M8 mini claims that the smartphone will pack a single photo snapper on the back instead of the twin-camera that comes with the HTC One (M8).
