It should land on shelves with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich inside

HTC is gearing up for the release of a new Android mobile phone on the market in China, one that would sport the codename of Jel X720d, and which was just spotted online.

The new device is said to sport a large 4.7-inch HD LCD display, while being powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8660A Snapdragon application processor.

Moreover, the new handset comes with an 8MP camera on the back, along with a 1.3MP sensor on the front, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.

It should feature support for CDMA2000/GSM networks and WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, while running under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

According to Blog of Mobile, the new device measures 134.8 × 68.99 × 9.5mm and weighs 138.5 grams. No specific details on when China Telecom might launch the new device have been unveiled so far.
