Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is actively working on delivering the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update to its One X and One S users, Australian wireless carrier Telstra has confirmed.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when the update might land on devices has been provided, but it’s good to know that the handset vendor is making steps towards releasing it.

“HTC is preparing an update but is yet to confirm the date it will be submitted for Telstra testing,” the wireless carrier notes in regard to the Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ platform release.

The carrier also confirmed the upcoming availability of this OS flavor for its Galaxy Nexus, but it hasn’t provided a specific launch timeframe for it either.

Jelly Bean was made official in late June, and it has already started to arrive on the GSM flavor of Galaxy Nexus.
