Following the official launch of HTC Explorer, Three UK confirmed that it will carry the smartphone sometime later this year.

The sneak peek offered by Three shows that HTC Explorer is quite a looker with its interchangeable rubberized back cover that is available in a range of colors.

Although the device is dubbed as an entry-level smartphone, the Explorer features HTC's latest Sense 3.5 user interface that goes along with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

Furthermore, the device is equipped with a 600 MHz Qulacomm MSM7227 processor and a basic Adreno 200 graphics processing unit.

HTC Explorer packs a 3-megapixel camera on the back, 512 MB of ROM, 384 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Three UK did not reveal any details regarding the phone's price or exact release date, but HTC confirmed that the Explorer will be its most affordable Android smartphone available on the market.
