HTC has made available for purchase a new Android-based smartphone in India, namely the dual-SIM flavor of the HTC Desire X, which sports the name of HTC Desire XDS.

The mobile phone is already available for purchase through online retailer Saholic, and can be seen on this page with a price tag of Rs. 16,089 ($285 / 218 Euro) attached to it, as AndroidOS reports.

The new mobile phone lands on shelves with a 4.0-inch display capable of delivering an 800 x 480 pixel resolution, as well as with a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor inside, and 768MB of RAM.

The mobile phone also packs 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, 1650 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, Beats Audio, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich loaded on top.
