Koodo Mobile is the third Canadian carrier that starts selling the HTC Desire, after Bell and Fido. Also known as HTC Desire 601, the smartphone will be launched at Rogers as well, where customers will be able to grab it for as low as $80 (€57) on 2-year plans.

However, as MobileSyrup points out, Koodo Mobile offers the HTC Desire for $300 (€215) off contract or as low as $150 (€105) on Tab. The smartphone ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and packs a decent 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.

The Desire sports a large 4.5-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating for extra protection.

On the inside, the handset packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

HTC Desire also comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as secondary VGA camera for video calls.
