14 DAY TRIAL // Google has just released Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Nexus devices, but we've seen this update rolling out to Android One smartphones in Indonesia not long ago.
The Android One handsets now come with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and are usually the first to receive updates, just like Nexus lineup.
Beginning today it looks like Android One smartphone owners in India have started to receive the highly-anticipated Android 5.1 Lollipop update.
According to Indian blog WhatsOnTech, the highly-anticipated Android 5.1 Lollipop update is now rolling out to Micromax Canvas A1. The file size is about 410MB, so make sure you have a good Wi-Fi network connection before attempting to download it.
Aside from Micromax Canvas A1, we expect Android 5.1 Lollipop to arrive on two other Android One phones in India, such as Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO.
Keep in mind that since this is an OTA (over the air) staged rollout, it may take a few days until it reaches all Micromax Canvas A1 phones in India.
