Google Reader was not the only mobile application for Android that got an update today, but Google Docs also got a makeover in the new version 1.0.30 available for download via the Android Market.

Google Docs for Android is meant to offer users the possibility to enjoy fast access to their documents on the Google Docs account while on the go, straight from the device in their hands.

The application was enhanced with support for the larger screen of tablet PCs as well, as well as with support for both landscape and portrait mode, and various other improvements.

Available for free for all devices running under Android 2.1 or newer, the new flavor of Google Docs is said to have been updated in line with the release of the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, as Google is preparing all of its mobile apps for the new platform flavor.
