After the update, the application is removed from the store apps list

The Games app for Windows Phone 8.1 still needs a lot of work before even being usable by early adopters of the operating system. However, it looks like Microsoft is updating the application with bug fixes and improvements almost every week.

Unfortunately, the latest update does not seem to bring any improvements to the application, as reported by NokiaPowerUser. In fact, you might want to skip this update if you still want to have Games pinned on your home screen.

It looks like the newest update removes the Games app from the store application list, but if you decide to unpin it for whatever reason, you will not be able to pinpoint it again inside your phone.

Cortana is of no help either, so you will be left without the Games Hub, unless you use Transparency Tiles app in the Games Hub.

Aside from that, the update does not seem to bring any bug fixes or improvements and given the lack of an official changelog, it’s unclear whether or not it adds anything else.

Lots of users still complain that the Games app for Windows Phone 8.1 is laggy and crashing frequently, while other claim that they can’t sign in or that it takes a really long time to refresh. Hopefully, these problems will be fixed by the time the final version of Windows Phone 8.1 gets released for the general public.
