There’s a whole debate on whether or not free-to-play games are beneficial for the gaming industry, but that does not concern us now even though we’re going to be reporting on one such title.

French mobile game developer and publisher Gameloft has just released Rival Knights – a game in which players can joust – on Windows Phone platform.

Rival Knights is said to feature “stunning 3D graphics, dynamic camera angles and lifelike graphics.” Players can battle enemies and rival clans across 5 leagues, in order to grab their castles and thrones.

There are more than 120 mounts, lances, armors, helms and other stuff, which can be unlocked during gameplay. You can even upgrade your current gear at the blacksmith in order to gain certain advantages over your opponent. Temporary boosts are available in the game as well.

Gameloft’s Rival Knights allows asynchronous multiplayer games and players can also compete in weekly PvP multiplayer tournament for great rewards.

Obviously, you will be able to purchase virtual items with real money in case you want that extra edge over your opponents.

Anyway, you can now download Rival Knights for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
