Galaxy S5 Prime, long said to arrive on shelves as the metallic, premium version of the flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone, allegedly made an officially appearance in a video this weekend.

Coming from tktechnews, the video allegedly shows all there is to see about the new flavor of Galaxy S5, which supposedly sports an aluminum body. Moreover, a second clip was also published, so as to offer a glimpse of the hardware specs of the device.

According to the videos’ author, the handset presented there is a pre-production model, though chances are that it actually is a regular Galaxy S5 device that sports metallic cases.

The phone allegedly sports a 2k touchscreen display and Android 4.4.3 loaded on top, but the rest of the specs are actually similar to those on Galaxy S5, including the Snapdragon 801 CPU paired with only 2GB of RAM.

The premium version of Galaxy S5 has made it to the headlines quite a few times lately, especially since Samsung is expected to make it official as soon as the next month in South Korea, though it remains to be seen how much of what was rumored on it will actually pan out.

Until a formal announcement on the phone is made, take the video above with a grain of salt, as the actual Galaxy S5 Prime model might look a bit different. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
