Galaxy S III, the latest flagship Android-based mobile phone from Samsung, is getting ready to arrive in the United States before the end of this month, though not all carriers will launch it at the same time.

While AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are expected to have it on shelves on June 21st, Verizon is said to plan on launching it about two weeks later.

There have been a series of rumors regarding Galaxy S III’s availability on Verizon starting with July 9th, but no official confirmation on the matter has emerged so far.

However, a recent post on BGR claims that the release date is confirmed for that day, without offering further details on the matter.

Until a formal announcement is made, we’ll take this with a grain of salt. After all, it’s quite surprising that Verizon would wait so long to release the device.
