Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has just put up a sign-up page for the newly unveiled Galaxy Nexus smartphone, so that its customers could register their interest in the handset.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone in the world to arrive on shelves with the new Ice Cream Sandwich mobile OS on board.

Manufactured by Samsung, the new device was made official last week, and is expected to become available for purchase starting with November.

According to Verizon's website, the new Galaxy Nexus will be available exclusively on its airwaves, something that was long rumored to happen.

“Sign up to receive more information and be one of the first to get the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung on Verizon,” the wireless carrier notes on its website. You can register your interest in the new Google phone here.
