It enables users to load custom kernels, install more software

Although this might sound like a line from a movie, it is not. Nokia N9 owners can gain access to more areas on their phone through Inception.

This is an exploit that works very much in the same manner in which root works on Android devices, only that it was developed for MeeGo's Aegis security system.

Through Inception, users will take full advantage of Nokia N9’s capabilities. Moreover, devs can come up with applications that build on this expanded access to various phone features.

Those who would like to take advantage of Inception will have to be familiar with the command terminal. For them, the ability to load custom kernel modules, install unapproved software and the like will be at hand.

Inception should work even with devices that have been upgraded to the new PR 1.2 firmware. Just keep in mind that you will be installing it at your own risk. For additional info on what this exploit has to offer, head over to endno.de.
