South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is gearing up for the launch of some new large handsets in India, and has already started to import them in the country, most probably for testing purposes.

Four such smartphones emerged in the country, featuring model numbers SGH-M457, SCH-V479, SCH-R402, and GT-I9400.

As SammyToday notes, these phones sport 5.5-inch LCD displays, and are expected to become available for purchase in Asia and the United States.

While the size of the aforementioned screens suggests that these might be Galaxy Note 3 Neo models, the fact that they feature LCD screens comes as a surprise (the handset was made official with a 720p Super AMOLED display).

Chances are that Samsung is testing large LCD screens for inclusion on some of its devices in the not too distant future, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
