Curious to see how the Mi Note performs in photography?

Earlier today, Xiaomi officially announced the Mi Note handset, which is the company’s latest effort to distract smartphone enthusiasts from things like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

We were told that, in the photography department, the new Xiaomi Mi Note would boast a 13MP Sony camera with f/2.0 lens with optical stabilization and dual-tone LED flash. In the front the handset enjoys the services of a 4MP UltraPixel camera.

While all this sounds fine and dandy, the spec list didn’t really give us a real idea of how photographs taken with the new Xiaomi Mi Note would really look like.

But luckily our curiosity is already being satisfied, because the first camera samples have already been published online (via Phone Arena). Yes, they are not yet available in full resolution, but the results seem to be quite encouraging nevertheless.

The night shoot is particularly interesting because it shows the device’s camera is capable of harvesting enough light to perform well in a low-light setting.

So take a look in the gallery to get an idea of what kind of a camera phone the Mi Note really is.

The handset is expected to go live this quarter with a price tag starting up from $371 / €314.
