Verizon Wireless plans to launch a sequel to the Samsung Stratosphere slider smartphone. The Stratosphere II leaked for the first time back in August, but no additional details have emerged until now.

The guys over at EVLeaks have just published the first press image of the Samsung Stratosphere II handset, which points to an imminent release.

Also known as Samsung SCH-I415, the smartphone sports a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and full supports for Verizon's 4G LTE network.

In addition, the device is said to come equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display.

The slider also boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. No word on the phone's availability and pricing options yet, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
